The Turku based contemporary dance group Aurinkobaletti (AB Dance Company) is looking for a dancer to join the company as substitute for a leave. The employment is from 17 March 2025 to 31 December 2025.
Aurinkobaletti’s repertoire includes productions for both adults and children. The ensemble can be described by a sense of community, diversity, and openness to new directions. Cross-artistic productions and diverse audience development are a part of daily work at AB Dance Company. The home stage of the company is Manilla Theatre at Manilla, a beautifully restored former factory on the banks of the Aura river in Turku. Currently Aurinkobaletti has four permanent dancers, and occasionally additional dancers for certain productions.
Versatility, mastering of contemporary technique and stage experience are expected from the Aurinkobaletti dancers. Ballet technique is also preferred.
After receiving the applications some of the applicants will be invited to attend an audition on Sunday 3rd of November 2024. The audition starts at 11:00 at Manilla, Itäinen Rantakatu 64, 20810 Turku, Finland.
